Unfortunately I tried to upgrade, but ran into a different problem and had to downgrade to 7 again. My laptop has a fried discrete graphics card and so in order for my laptop to boot, I have to keep the discrete graphics card's driver uninstalled and have the integrated graphics cards driver installed instead, which is working fine in 7, but when I upgraded to 10, it decided to install the discrete cards driver on its own, and after that wasn't able to complete setup because it wouldn't be able to boot again after the driver installation stage. So back to 7 I went.
